A blessing and a curse

April 27, 2007

Yo. Seriously. The Internet — am I wrong, here? — can be such a contradiction. I can’t imagine life without it, truthfully, as it’s where I get so much information. 9 times out of 10, if I have a question, it’s where I go. I learned to knit on the Internet. I’ve made amazing friends on the Internet. This year, I’m facing my fear of plant growing and starting a vegetable garden…and of course I’ve already bookmarked a forum and read through 3408569 posts about gardening topics that interest me.

The curse part, of course, is the time-sucking element of it all. My intentions are so fab — but honestly I could sit here and read about composting/lace knitting/making my own crackers/etc all freaking day and never end up doing anything…if it weren’t for the magic of the to-do list.

#1…smooch my baby and play a game of Go Fish.

  1. Wholeheartedly agreed sis. Whenever anyone asks what I do while the kids are at school. . . errr. . .

  2. That’s so me. Blessing and a curse says it all!

  3. Julie, your “Yo” cracks me up!
