Easter Cookies

I’ve found that making cookies with little kids is soooo much more fun when I send my perfectionism on a hike and let them be themselves. 😀

Tonight, after they go to bed, I’ll summon my perfectionism and frost my cookies. I totally want to learn how to use royal icing, you know, where you dam the edges then fill with a thinner icing? And they’re all flat and smooth and pretty? (Martha showed me how. We’ll see if it’s a simple as she made it look.)

Cookie recipe: my old standby, Penzeys’ No-Chill Cutout Cookies. Highly recommended.
